- This version of the FAIRLADY Z Z34 is named "Chevalier" after the first rank of the French National Order of the Legion of Honour that can be awarded. The insignia of someone awarded Chevalier (Knight) is a small gold badge decorated with green floral decorations. This is reflected in the colour scheme that is chosen for the "Chevalier."
- This is the first car to be named after an Order of merit, with the second one being an upgraded version of the "Chevalier", the FAIRLADY Z "Grand-Croix" (Z34).
